A Clueless City: Philadelphians Lack Basic Knowledge of Hispanic Heritage Month

We went around City Hall and asked the people of Philadelphia what they know, or don't know, about Hispanic Heritage Month. These are the results!

After scurrying around City Hall and Dilworth Park to ask civilians simple questions about Hispanic Heritage Month for a short video, my colleague and I soon realized that the majority of Philadelphia is ill-prepared and misinformed about this nationally recognized celebratory period. campaign promises on comprehensive immigration reform. It's already becoming a
problem for him as he maneuvers toward the 2012 presidential election.

It's a perfect time to get reacquainted with Scott Joplin, King of Ragtime

I've been on an insane Scott Joplin bender for two weeks now. I woke up two Saturdays ago thinking about ragtime and didn't even wait to get out of bed -- I downloaded 37 different rags straight into my iPod and have been obsessively playing them all over and over and over again ever since.
